What is counselling like?
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’ve never spoken to a therapist before. My aim is to provide a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind.
Counselling isn’t about being told what to do or having all the answers. Instead, we work together to better understand your experiences, thoughts and emotions, helping you make sense of the difficulties you’re facing and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Every person is different, so I tailor my approach to your individual needs, working at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.
Why choose Andrew Harris Counselling?
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision, and finding someone you feel comfortable with can make a real difference. I offer a professional, compassionate and collaborative approach, creating a space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.
As a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist, I hold an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Distinction) and have supported adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Alongside my private practice, my previous experience working within NHS mental health services has given me valuable insight into supporting people through life’s challenges.
Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, trauma or simply feeling overwhelmed, my aim is to help you better understand yourself, develop healthier ways of coping and move towards a more fulfilling life.
