What is the cost?
- £55 for a 50 minute Counselling session
- I can offer pro-rata rates for longer or shorter sessions

- £35 for an initial 50 minute assessment session – Please note – I require this to be paid in advance of the assessment session
- A free 15 minute phone call for any questions prior to an assessment session

When do I need to pay?
- I ask for any fees to be paid at least 24 hours in advance of that session – please note this applies for both initial assessment sessions and ongoing individual sessions
- For block booked sessions I ask for the full payment up front – details can be found here
Can I have discounted sessions?
Yes I offer discounted rates for the following (more details can be found here).
- Assessment sessions – £35 for a 50 minute assessment session
- All students or Trainee Counsellor sessions – £45 per 50 minute session
- Block booking 5 sessions in advance £50 per session (£250 total)
- Block booking 10 sessions in advance £45 per session (£450 total)
Please note: I ask for 5 or 10 block book sessions to be paid up front within 24 hours of that first session – these are not refundable
Do I offer Student or Trainee Counsellor Discounts?
Yes – I offer discounted sessions to all Students or Trainee Counsellors – please note I may ask for proof of student status.
For all Students or Trainee Counsellor’s I charge:
- An initial Assessment session – £35 for a 50 minute assessment session
- All student or Trainee Counsellor sessions – £45 per 50 minute session
I also offer a free initial 15 minute phone call.

Which types of therapy do I practice?
I work integratively drawing from the following therapeutic modalities:

How long are sessions?
- 50 minutes for regular sessions
- I can offer longer or shorter sessions charged at a pre agreed pro-rata rate

Where are sessions?
I offer a hybrid way of working:
- In-person – held in my counselling room at my home address in the BS30 area of Bristol
- Online using Google Meet
- Over the phone
What is Counselling?
- Put simply, it is the meeting of two people; you, as the Client, and me, as the Counsellor, in a safe and strictly confidential space where we can work through emotional/difficult material brought by you with the aim of making things more manageable, achievable and contained – you can read more about Counselling here.
Is Counselling right for me?
- Good question – I passionately believe that Counselling has the ability to change anyone’s life. That being said, Counselling is only as effective as the motivation for change behind it. The same applies with regards to the timing being right and finding the right counsellor for your specific needs – you can read more about me here. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation in order for you to get to know me a little better and to try and answer any other questions that you may have in order to help you make your decision about starting Counselling with me.
Can you speak with me prior to committing to any fee paying?
- Yes – I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation in order to answer any questions that you may have – please feel free to contact me on my contacts page if you would like to arrange this.
How long does counselling last for?
- My work is open ended and I can work with a client for as long or as short as they would like – I have experience of working in both long term and short term client work. We can discuss this during our assessment session and can keep an eye on any progress throughout our work by regularly checking in.
Which client groups do I work with?
- Put simply, anyone is welcome in my Counselling practice from both majority or minority backgrounds – if I am not able to work with you for a particular reason I will offer to refer you on to another counsellor or alternative service provider who may be more suitable.
Which conditions/presentations do I work with?
- I am unable to provide diagnostic labels, however, I will work with any presentation or prior diagnosis
- I have a particular interest in bereavement, loss, anxiety, OCD, depression, low mood and adaptation to a change in unexpected circumstances
How often can I have Counselling?
Put simply; as often as you would like. I can offer session frequency on a basis to suit you:
- Once weekly – most common in Counselling and most therapies
- Once fortnightly
- Once monthly
- Multiple times weekly
