I offer counselling sessions in three formats:

In-Person

In-person counselling sessions are 50 minutes long by default – although, as outlined on my fee page, sessions can be longer/shorter.

I offer in person counselling sessions at my home address in my counselling room within the BS30 area of Bristol. The sessions are held within my conservatory at the rear of the house offering privacy and confidentiality. Access to my counselling room is made via a side gate to ensure that sessions are separate to the rest of the house. I have provided a picture below of the counselling room. Please note: I do not have toilet facilities available – there is a retail park within a 5 minute walk that contains shops with toilet facilities.

Travelling for in-person sessions:

By Car

My house is in a Cul-De-Sac in the BS30 area of Bristol – there is free parking available on the street to the front of the property or on other streets within the vicinity.

Cycling

My counselling practice is within ~1 mile of the Bristol-Bath cycle track and bikes can be stored securely in my back garden during sessions.

Bus

My counselling room has a number of bus stops within a 5 minute walk – bus routes include:

  • 17 (from Southmead or Keynsham)
  • 19 (from Bath)
  • 44 (from Bristol City Centre)
  • 45 (from Bristol City Centre)
Train

The nearest train station is Keynsham with multiple trains an hour heading in the directions of both Bath & Bristol. Please note – Keynsham station is a 2.6 mile distance from my counselling room meaning further walking, cycling, bussing, or catching a taxi would need to be factored into journey times.

Online (Video or Audio)

Online counselling sessions are 50 minutes long by default – although, as outlined on my fee page, can be longer/shorter.

Online sessions are held on the video call platform Google Meet and I will send out a link each week prior to a session via the email that you provide me with.

Please note – although confidentiality is guaranteed in in-person counselling sessions, I cannot guarantee the confidentiality of online or telephone sessions as they are likely to be remote from our usual counselling room. During online or telephone sessions, I will be in a closed room where nobody can hear our conversation. Prior to the start of the session, please ensure that you have a private and safe space in which you feel free to talk in and that you will not be disturbed in. If another person enters your room during a session, the session will be paused and I will not speak until the person is out of the room. In this instance, the session will end at the agreed time and will not be extended.

Telephone (Audio)

Telephone counselling sessions are 50 minutes long by default – although, as outlined on my fee page, can be longer/shorter.

Telephone sessions are held over the phone and I will call you on the number that you provide me with – please note that, I when I call you, it might be from a withheld number.

All counselling sessions are 50 minutes long by default – I would be happy to do longer/shorter sessions at a pro-rata rate – you can find more details out about that here.
